| After I used this 6" x 6" panel for life drawing, and then as a paint palette for the previous plein air sketch, I wiped it off yet again. This seems to channel Richard Schmid, hope he is well today This one is about 45 minutes, palette knife, a few brushes and this time, the paper palette was actually the daily paper! | |

| Thanks Crystal. Yes, if only the final recipient would know the pedigree of this one, ha ha. But I won't write its journey on the back of the board,, | |

| Thanks Faisal! I tip my hat to the Globe and Mail newspaper for keeping me on my toes; I was using the front page of the Arts section as a temporary paint palette that morning:)

| I think since you started the life studies, you have loosened up your paintings. I like it. | |

| Thanks Judy! I agree, doing the life drawing sessions has helped me loosen up. I see the difference in my comic book pencilling too, a slightly better feel for the direction of the line. If that makes any sense. In other words, I am getting 'used to' foreseeing what I draw and paint before the stroke hits the page. | |

| I think this is my favorite of all your paintings but I do have a thing for flowers! | |
