| Yikes! It's September all ready. The leaves are starting to turn so there will be great opportunities to add colors to those landscapes. Sometimes we add too much color and when that happens, it's ready to go down the drain. Share some of yours with us this month. Actually share any subject you want. We'd love to see them.

| Here is a pastel painting I did when I first started painting on a regular basis. It was my first landscape. I did it on a blue mat board with soft pastels. Looking at it here looks a lot better than the real thing. I auto enhanced it in photoshop because it looked so washed out. Maybe I should work on it again and try to bring the color up to this level. Of course, my lolipop trees don't help and it really wasn't snowing on the background trees, the sun was just bleaching them out. Anyway, here it is. Judy | |

| You know this picture is very nice. Especially since it was 1 of your first. I sure wouldn't throw it down the drain.

| Thanks Dayle. I still have it and sometimes think I might work on it again now that I have a lot more experience, but I always get side tracked into other things. Judy | |

| It has a sort of mystical quality the way you've enhanced the colours. I like the reflections. | |

| Thanks Sofie, As I think back to it, the reflections were as easy to do as with WSO because of the ease of blending. Acrylics still are a challenge so I usually go back to the WSO to finalize any reflections on my acrylic paintings. Judy | |

| Here are three that I just flushed this month. Two are already painted over and the other one is prepped and ready to go. This is the first painting I did when I got back into painting in 2006. Acrylic on 20x24 canvas. It was great to get back into painting and I spent a lot of time on this and learned a lot. This one is from the Tuesday night still life group, from about 2007. Most of the still lifes eventually get painted over - this one lasted longer than most. Acrylic on canvas 16x20 - now the dappled light on the riverbank painting. This one was painted in 2009 - Tuesday night still life. 8x10 acrylic on canvas - the one I painted over last night at the farm. | |

| Interesting how you mosaic style evolved from 2006 to now.
