Yosemite Valley below Half Dome

Been busy with my landscape class. Just finished this one for my week three assignment. I was practicing creating depth through multiple overlay of objects increasing the atmospheric effect as it went into the distance. Hope you like it.

Thank you both. This was a tough one, but in the end it worked out. You all know of the ugly, frustrating phase of a painting when you're sure you'll never pull it off. Thank God it finally all came together.

Both my husband and I really love your painting. We used to live near Yosemite and went there every summer and sometimes in the winter. This painting is really wonderful and makes me a little homesick. Although, we really love it here in Texas. Both are beautiful, just different types of scenery.
