Cosplay life sketches

A few images from a recent life drawing session. The model wore a 'cosplay' (character costume) outfit. It was an all ages session, 1.5 hours.

Thirty second sketch, graphite on white photocopy paper.

Two minutes, graphite on photocopy paper.

Five minutes, graphite pencil on photocopy paper.

Ten minutes, white pencil on pink construction paper, with graphite pencil for final drawing, over the white.

WOW! Really great sketches in the time you were allowed. Great job.

These are great. What freedom of motion in your sketches. It is amazing what you can do in such short periods of time.

Thanks Judy! I feel that the life drawing is loosening me up; I am beginning to sense where the bones and shape of the body are, as I draw. Interesting experience, telling me again that you truly are never too old to learn something new.
