Last Genesis Heat Set Painting for a While Empty
PostSubject: Last Genesis Heat Set Painting for a While   Last Genesis Heat Set Painting for a While EmptySat Oct 11, 2014 1:21 pm

There's a lot going on in our lives right now so this will probably be the last Genesis painting for a while. Actually, it may be the last painting for a while. My mother in law (aged 96) has fallen again and broken her pelvis this time. Last time she broke her back and no one thought she'd recover from that. Anyway, things are a bit hectic.

I finished this painting this morning but it bubbled a bit when I heat set it. It's very hard to figure out the right temperature and heat time in spite of all the suggestions on the internet. My husband loves it but I'm not happy with it anyway so may sand off the bubbles and repaint some or all of it.

Painting to follow in next post.

Truly beautiful painting! So sorry to hear about your Mother-in-Law. God bless you and your family.

Jan,

This is so soft and beautiful.... I don't/can't see the bubble problems you are stating...

Faisal, I caught this painting just before it got the brown rings around the bubbles but the bubbles are still there, just not as noticeable as some overcooking has been. Here's a closeup of one section but they're in various places on the painting.
