My Name is Derek. Nice to discover water soluble oils AND this really cool website. I took early retirement from teaching College and High School level. Love to draw, paint, sing and play keyboards in my band. Selling work off and on.....the market is tough.
Cheers, Derek (I will post a painting soon. Looking forward to seeing your stuff.)
Oops, sorry, but after seeing the way you have to post paintings....I'm not sure I will be doing this....so sorry.
Derek

Hi Dereck,

It really isn't so difficult to post them. It just sounds confusing. There are several ways and we can talk you through it. Hope you won't be discouraged and will contribute and learn with the rest of us. We are just a group of friendly artist who like painting with water-soluble oils. We range from novices to highly experienced artists. We share what we know and learn from what others have to share.

Here's a link to how to post pictures.

Hi Derek;
Welcome, and I hope you stick around.
I post my painting images from a free account on Photobucket.

It took a few minutes to figure it out, but it is pretty straight forward.

Hi Camster! Welcome to the forum! The image uploader that is closest
to the WetCanvas one would be the TinyPic one. When you start a new
thread or select post reply you will see an options bar that you can
maximize by selecting the + sign on the right side of that bar. Click the TinyPic Image Uploader option and from their it should fairly familiar if you're use to the WetCanvas one.

Thanks Janet and Alan for info on alternatives for posting images. It is interesting to note that Tiny Pic is part of Photobucket.

Janet, I never could find the Option for Tiny Pic because I always just respond using the posting box within the topic. If you actually click the "postreply" button, then the option menu comes up. I also noted that in clicking the "post reply" button it asks for a title name for the reply. I'll have to give it a try and see what comes up.

PostSubject: Testing "postreply" button   Hi You Guys!!! EmptyThu Jun 23, 2011 3:39 pm

I'm testing to see how this way of replying differs from the way I normally do it. I also think that I will start a new discussion about posting images on the different services. I read over the agreement with Photopockets and Tiny Pics and am concerned about the giving up copyrights to anything you post through them. I'm going to check on the default image server also and see if this is the same. I will link this discussion out Derek's introduction since we are really getting off topic and I think this is really important information for people to have access to.
