Welcome to the forum, Sid. Welcome

You do some really beautiful work. The detail and realism is unbelievable. I hope as you get used to the forum, you will share more. What type of WS oils are you using?

You might want to take a look at this link. It is a newsletter we sent out as the forum developed to introduce new comers to the different parts of the forum.

We look forward to seeing more of your work. Feel free to ask questions and contribute experiences you would like to share..

Thanks for your nice comments
Sofie...The size of the painting is 20"x30"
Judyfilarscki....I started with WN Artisan, my art store had a Boxing Day Sale on Holbein Duo 70% off I pick up 6 or 7 colours for 5.60 ea.
I really like the Holbein. I have to say I don't think I will be going back to traditional oils.

Hi Sid! Welcome! Fantastic painting! The realism is amazing! Smile I use the Holbein as well and love them.

Hi Sid,

My progression has also been from WN to Duo's. I just got a starter set of Cobras along with the painting medium and glazing medium. I'll be posting the progress in the Works in Progress (WIP) section with comments on how they perform.

Hi Sid! Welcome to the forum. Your paintings show a lot of brush and colour control. I look forward to getting to know you here.

Hi Sid- welcome to the group. I also checked out your blog and loved your Loch Trool. Did you visit Galloway? last spring I visited Scotland, and toured a lot of Ayrshire but didn't get to visit this area. By the images on the net - it looks beautiful.
