The joy of Joy of Painting Empty
PostSubject: Re: The joy of Joy of Painting   The joy of Joy of Painting EmptySat Mar 13, 2010 2:00 pm

I painted this week and just posted the video of it. I think I'm liking the video more than the painting itself. It's still on my easel but every time I walk by I find all the bad things I did. I haven't even photographed the painting yet. It's going to take a long time to dry. We used the knife to paint trees. They are THICK. I can't think of the word . . all I can think of is PESTO (and it makes me hungry) and if I would just stop typing and open another window I could google it, but you all know what I'm thinking of . . . right . .

here's the link to the video

Judy - how's your trip going? Where are you at now?

Kay - you've got the Bob Ross method down pat. Nice work with the shades of grey painting.

that's it ! Impasto!

Thanks for looking. It's fun, but I hope I get better at it. I feel like I'm just rushing and throwing paint on the canvas. I can follow the style and I know it ends up with the illusion of the mountains or whatever, but I want to feel confident when I do it.

I'm still a little afraid to start, and so I guess for that reason, the painting ALONG with the TV episodes is a real motivator.

Callie,
Thanks for asking but it is in May not March. The RV is still in my driveway but has been all tuned and ready for the trip.
