| Hi all,
I don't see much activity on the forum. I guess everyone is busy. I have been very busy at work and traveling a lot. I have been sketching mostly and tried a few simple paintings,... nothing worthy of posting. Hopefully I will be posting more stuff soon.
Take Care
Faisal

| Safe travels Faisal. I am sending information and invitations to our upcoming show; that is a separate employment all on its own. But it's good fun. I've learned a lot about how to write a quick email to touch on the main points, for sure. | |

| At least you're getting a bit of a chance to paint while you're traveling, Faisal. Hope you're having some fun at least.
I know you're looking forward to your show, Alan, but it's a little daunting also trying to get it all together. How is it coming? Are you getting to paint any?
How about you, Judy?
I've been working a bit in gouache simply because it doesn't create a big mess for me but I haven't had much time even for it. I bought a nice compressor but haven't even had time to relearn using my airbrush.
It's funny, when you're a kid, time seems to drag by but the older you get, it just seems to fly by!

| Jan, I haven't seen you post anything recently. Looking forward to some of your work... No pressure!

| Hi Jan, Faisal; my wife and I are still prepping for our gallery opening this upcoming Friday. In the midst of this, I just returned from a business trip. Ah, Jan, like you say, time seems to fly. Our paintings are all framed now; we will install on Friday afternoon and have the reception just a few hours later. Like you say, Faisal, "no pressure"!

| Alan, I hope your show goes well and you and your wife sell lots of paintings! Please let us know all the juicy details of what happens in such a show.
I've been painting a little but not in oil. Have done a couple of small gouaches but life seems to get in the way of painting lately. And you won't see much of me this month as I'm scheduled for cataract surgery and while recovery is pretty quick, it's the period in between when one eye has been done and the other not. My optometrist says it could be something of a disorienting time when it might be difficult to paint or do close work. We'll see how it goes - I might just surprise him!
I will check in here as much as I can though.

| Jan, best of luck with the cataract surgery. It sounds like you are having both eyes done; the level of expertise is so high now that it is (they say) very routine. I will post a bit of a review of the artist reception. I am thinking positive! | |

| Jan,
Wish you all the best with your surgery.
Alan, Yes! do keep us posted. I love the landscapes you and your wife do. I am positive you will sell a lot.

| Jan,
Hope you have a quick recovery and adjustment. I think you'll be so excited to see clearly, that the small adjustment won't even bother you. Mine were done 38 and 31 years ago when they were just starting to perfect implants. Would you believe that I was in the hospital for 3 days for the first one and that was just the routine...unbelievable. I'm just thankful for all the progress. Without them, I would have been blind by the time I was 40. | |

| Thank you all for your thoughts.
Judy, it's amazing the progress that's been made in this field. My husband had it done and was able to come home just a couple of hours afterward!
I'm excited about not having to wear glasses any longer as I've worn them for nearly 60 years! Well there were a few years when I wore contact lenses but it will be so nice to wake up at night and be able to see!
