| I dropped my older daughter for band practice this morning and headed out to the local park. The weather was sooooo perfect. No wind and the temp was cool 70deg F and the sun was bright. It was absolutely fantastic. I took my Guriella pochade box. I think I will take the Soltek out next. It took about over an hour to complete this. I had to paint in a hurry, as we all know about changing light conditions when painting outside and off course it made me simplify things and get rid of details. I am very hooked after this session. The whole experience was awesome, I had to simplify and make decisions on the go. I think this will make me a better painter... I have a long ways to go... every journey starts with a single first step... Yes! some of you will have issue with centering the shed... but life is about breaking some rules... . Please comment away... any and all constructive feedback are welcome (even the placement of the shed.. ) Time Taken: About an Hour (1 hour). Size: 5" x 7" | |

| I really like the colors and values that you used. This is absolutely great for 1 of your first plein air paintings. You captured so much in such little time. What is that white spot on the tree in front, left? I guess that those are the fronts of a couple on canoes at the very bottom, and think you might be better off without them. Just my opinion, it's up to you. Great job! | |

| Very well done. The larger evergreen to the left of center helps balance the shed which is right of center. You did a great job on all of it and in such a short time. I'm assuming those canoe tips are actually brackets that hold the canvas in place. | |

| Thanks guys (I left a feedback ealier, but it did not show up... I see the white spot on the tree... It is an accidental blemish during the painting... hmmm.. I missed it. Also the canoe is not just the brackets to hold the canvas. I truly appreciate your feedback... | |

| Are there actually canoes in the painting that have been cropped off? It makes it confusing and detracts from the rest of the painting with just those small tips showing. | |

| LOL... oops! pardon my type-o... no they are brackets and NOT canoes... sorry! The brackets came up, because I took the picture at the park... right after completing the painting.
Thanks

| Nice work, wow you painted quickly to cover this in an hour. I don't have any criticism or comments on this, just pleased that you are getting out and painting. All good! | |
