Hi everyone,

My name is Matt and I just started working in WSOP.

I am a self taught artist but I do go to the Art Institute of Seattle for Graphic Design, and I work for an art store. I consider myself a printmaker above all else. I started painting with oils years ago but eventually went to acrylics because I didn't want to work with solvents. I tried the Winsor and Newton Artistian but never really like them. I recently tried the new Daniel Smith WSOs and I like them a lot more than the W&N. They do not feel all gummy and do not drag like what I experienced before. If anyone is wondering yes I do work for DS as a sales person in their store. Just because I work for them doesn't mean I value their stuff over everyone elses. I like Golden acrylics over their acrylics and Sennelier oils (when I worked with oils). I have a vast amount of art material knowledge, especially paper, pigments and brushes.

Hi Matt & welcome! I'm sure your input will be very valuable here with your experiences. I, for one, am just learning about the wso's although, like you, I did try them when they first came out many years ago.

Feel free to post your work as we do like to see what can be done with the wso's!

Hi Matt,
It is nice to meet you. We had some people asking about Danial smith WSO's a while back. None of us had tried them so it is good to have your input.  We look forward to seeing more of you here on the forum. I know a lot our members will appreciate any contribution from you regarding papers, pigments and brushes, etc.

Judy

I am more than happy to share my expertise and my experiences. Thats one of the reasons I like working a sales floor. I like to make sure people get their questions answered and make sure they get what they need and want, not just sell people as much stuff as I can.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. If I do not have the answer I can always find it.
