I finished this one today after an afternoon of revising trees and some of the rock areas. It is 30" x 40", on stretched canvas.
Limited palette of Artisan Titanium White, Cad Yellow Hue, Cad Red, Fr Ultramarine Blue and Raw Umber.

Here is a full image photo, and a detail:

Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!... Did I say Wow!...

Man this is totally eclectic... poetry on canvas... Very inspirational... Thank you very much for sharing... I enjoyed it a lot. I am sure I will come back to this posting and see it again several times.

What I love about your work is that it looks awesome at every stage... and with every stage it gets even better... Keep it up... Smile

Love it. You were right about the touch of trees. I especially like the trees in the crevice between the rocks. Great job.

Thanks Jan and Judy. The trees are interesting there, they add a scale and organic element to this otherwise 'kind of bizarre' scene.

I just noticed the intense blues and purples in your deep shadows. Very nice effect.

Thanks Judy. The photo shows the blue and purple, but in the actual painting, they are darker and somewhat less obvious. Or they fit more naturally into the scene perhaps. I like to add some colour straight from the tube, or as saturated as possible to enhance the chroma of the scene.
