This painting started off as a 2 minute gesture painting (the model held her pose, or gesture, for 2 minutes, then moved to the next pose)
but I had time later in the session to revisit it and revise it during a similar longer pose. So it is probably 8 to 10 minutes in total, not including the background wash.
This is a Frederick Canvas pad sheet that measure 6" x 6". photographed on a bulletin board while still wet.

I agree Faisal. This one is a repurposed 2 minute sketch. I didn't have enough canvas paper, so I just spent my available time tweaking this one.

I just love your work with portraits! I can't imagine getting anything down in 2 minutes and adding to it later.

Thanks Crystal. I just keep trying new things with the brush. The 2 minutes just prompted me to put something, anything on the canvas. I skipped a few poses that weren't right for me, (wrong angle, etc)
