| A beautiful Vase has such a feminine elegance and the color red makes it more so (Red is the color of a bride in the south east asian culture). I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I had painting it. If you are new to WSO, I would very strongly recommend Holbein. It actually dilutes with water without becoming tacky. I had such a fight with Artisan. MAX is much better than Artisan, but Hobein reigns supreme. If you are into Alla Prima then Holbein is the way to go... for sure. All constructive criticism are welcome... Size: 5" X 7"; Time Taken: 2hours | |

| I guess everyone is on holidays... the traffic has gone down considerably.
Have you tried working on gessoed panels? I have given up on panels, and back on Canvas now which is much easier to handle... | |

| oops forgot to add why panels are hard for me. They are hard because they absorb to much. Judy suggested to put some medium before starting, it helped some but not that much. Does anyone have any suggestions or recepies for this? | |

| This is gorgeous!
I prefer canvas also and don't have any solution to help you paint on panels.
Thanks again for the Holbein suggestion as I do prefer to work alla prima (I'm older and don't have the patience I used to!)

| Faisal, this is beautiful. You can just feel the smoothness of the glaze as you pass your fingers along the vase. Judy | |
