I continue to paint with WSO's, but I have also found a great deal of satisfaction (especially during allergy season) in painting digitally using Corel painter 11 and 12. It is unbelievable how they have developed brushes that react so realistically and you can paint in layers which can be altered or deleted if one of them doesn't look like you want it.

Here are two paintings that I just recently finished using oil brushes. I hope you like them.

Here is another painting I did digitally but I used chalk, liquid ink and watercolor. I actually got brave and did an abstract painting of the bougainvillea I photographed in my backyard.

These are really interesting Judy! I especially like the last one! An explosion of colour and bloom.

That was my brave one where I ventured out of my tight little world and just let things happen. Here is the photo I used for the painting. I think the painting is much more interesting.

Hi Judy:

I really like the first two. They look really beautiful. So what exactly is the process, do you start with a blank digital canvas and then start putting paint on it.

Take Care

Thanks Faisal,

I may still do something else with the background of the desert to make it look more painterly.

I've been busy writing a Squidoo Lens on digital painting and it describes the steps taken with several of my digital paintings You might want to take a look there instead of me trying to explain it here. Here's the link
