Well, it's a new year, and time for new paintings. This is a 24" x 26" work in progress. This quickie snapshot taken yesterday shows the background of what will be a floral scene. More to come.

Here are more photos from today. So nice to have time to paint. Nine hours into this one now. The blue you see at the top left is a reflection of the painting light on the canvas. I do need proper lighting:(

Had a chance to work with the yellow flowers today, but found the background was still too wet to allow me to apply an opaque layer of yellow. So I worked at it for awhile, and then decided to resume later. A few detail photos here also.
