New to WSO and new to oil Empty
PostSubject: New to WSO and new to oil   New to WSO and new to oil EmptySat Dec 24, 2011 4:35 pm

Hello All:

This is my 4th painting in water soluble oil but the first to be posted on the WSO forum. I thought it was worthy enough to show to the world and get some feedback. A little background of my art background: I have dabbled a little bit in Pastel but sketch with graphite on a regular basis, so I have pretty much stayed in the black and white world.

I appologize for the low quality of the picture it was taken with my ipodtouch with my hand. But I think it is decent enough to show my skill level and get comments from people.

All comments are welcome

Thanks

Mirza Ghailb

You did a beautiful job for having usually worked in black and white. Your handling of the reflections in the spoon make you feel like you could just pick it up and use it.

As far as the quality of the picture, it is very good. I would recommend that you keep the resolution and KB's low to discourage copying by unscrupulous people on the web. I usually set my resolution at 72 and reduce the image size through Photoshop to 640 px for the width of a horizontal picture. I have also resumed imbedding my name in several places to further protect my work.

Welcome to the forum. We all look forward to seeing more of you.

Judy

Thanks Judy for the very useful information. I did not think too much about protecting my work.

Regards
