PostSubject: Preliminary Digital Painting   Fri May 20, 2011 9:17 pm

I just finished a digital painting of a photo I took in S. Carolina. I'm using it to help free me up from the detail I tend to paint when I use a photo. I'll begin the actual painting over the next few days and post it in WIP. I think I might use a sponge for a lot of the painting. I used a digital sponge in Corel and really liked what I could do. Here is the original photo and the digital rendition of it.

Thanks Dayle,

I've been putting a few finishing touches on a painting I worked on here last fall and then I'll begin. I keep looking at the photo and digital painting and see details I probably should include. Hopefully I'll still keep it loose.
