PostSubject: Going backwards   Going backwards EmptySat Apr 02, 2011 4:30 am

Haven't sold anything for ages and oils take up more storage room. So I'm heading back to watercolours which can be either framed or rolled and take up less space. So I wont be posting for a while.
My last three oils go into an exhibition this week. One of them is a nude which I avoided posting on this site.
Wishing you all well.
Jack

Oh Jack - sorry to hear that. Wish you luck with the watercolours though. I know it can be discouraging.

Jack,

You can post your watercolors in "Water Mixable Mix-Up" in this forum. That is what I have done when my allergies are too bad to even tolerate WSO's. Others post there, also. We love your sense of humor and critiques. If you can, please stay involved. Wed miss you.

Judy

thanks Dale and Judy
It's magic working wet in wet and watching the varying hues develop. I'd forgotten all about that aspect.
Having a bash at fairies, goblins etc. Something totally different.
Went to see our two grandaughters on stage on Saturday. They both go to dance school and it was their first taste of performing in public. At ages two and five life is a huge adventure.
Will post a watercolour when I've done one good enough.
All the best
Jack

hi Jack,

Aren't grandchildren fun???

I've been experimenting with applying acrylics using watercolor techniques. It's challenging and I still need to work on it. One thing I have done do a pastel painting of yellow roses and then dissolved the chalk and applied a background using watercolor principles. it work really well. Something you might want to think about.

Jack: Have you considered posting that nude with black bars across the 'naughty bits'?
(kidding)
Best of luck with your watercolours! Post 'em when you can!

Jack - I enjoy seeing your work, your humour, and your insights - don't be a stranger! Smile I'm looking forward to seeing your watercolours when you post them.
