Another hidden cottage

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Here's one I've recently been working on - another of the houses almost hidden by lush gardens from my walks around St. Kilda when I was in Australia. This is on a 20"x20" canvas.

I like it. You really had some great subjects to paint from your walks in Australia. I look forward to following the progress.

Very nice liking this hidden cottage.....love your pictures.....I noticed several of your paintings have an adventure feeling like going through places and things, very stirring, like an exploration of whats there.....

There is a story behind this painting. I came across a garden with a high wall I could not see over, and a solid gate that I could not see through, so I needed to see what it was like. i put my camera on top of the wall and pressed the button. The garden wall with the steps, and house shrouded by greenery was revealed to me. Actually I couldn't see as much of the house as this so I had to make bits of it up, which only made painting it more fun.

AH HA....you do have a bit of exploration – wonder ….. I love that adventure in your paintings....very nice
