Now that plein air season is over, our Tuesday night painting group is going indoors to paint still lifes until May. This Tuesday was our first night back inside. We rent the art room in a local high school. It's a good space - lots of space and good lighting. Every week a different person brings the set up. My friend Carey brought a bunch of potted plants - I chose to paint only one of them.

This took about 1 1/4 hrs. It's a 12x12 canvas. I said I was going to wipe it off and paint on the same canvas the next week. No one wanted me to paint over it so I told Nora, who was the most insistent, that if she brought me a canvas to exchange for it, the painting was hers. Smile Don't know what size canvas I'm painting on next week - depends what she brings me. Wink

Sofie,

I love your colors and the techneq you used to put them on your canvas, sweet friend of yours -- I think she wins, gest a great painting for the price of a blank canvas.

Sounds like a nice group to belong too -- how long have you been in your art group. How many in your group and are you able to stay warm enough - through the winter?

Sounds like something that would be fun to belong too.

What a great idea. The group I paint with are thinking of doing still life paintings as well.

I washed off the one I did last week, on the new canvas my friend gave me in exchange for the painting. Yesterday my grandson crawled into bed at 5:00 and slept all evening so ther was no going out painting for me. (I would have taken him with me) I missed a beautiful set up. Here's hoping next week works out for me. Smile
