| I have about 4 hours into this 12X10 panel....because I have started over ~ 4 or more times on her face, as you can see I will be working on it again, when not sure, hopefully soon. I love the tree on her left though, I think it turned out okay....gotta enjoy some of it otherwise I won't get back to it for a long time. Right now, I will need to just need to step away for a while, although the background still needs some work too, maybe I will work on it before I tackle her face. | |

| Good start Dana! Kids faces are so hard - last one I did I had to do it over quite a few times before it was ok - still not thrilled with it though. Good luck on your little girl! | |

| Well, the background sure looks good. Yeah, I think portraits are one of the hardest things to paint, but I'm pulled to them too.

| Oh good luck with this. I agree that children's faces are really hard to do. The one I tried last year ended up looking evil so I scrapped it.
