| I guess we're all really busy - Dayle just pointed out there was no chat thread for October ...or maybe we were all just enjoying September a little too much! So - all of you still hanging out in September - Get over here! | |

| I'll be on the road a good deal of October so if you don't see me for a while, don't be surprised. I'll try to keep in touch as I can.

| Ah, October. Beautiful months for autumn colours in the Maritimes. I have been away for a conference and came back with a major cold. I am looking forward to getting back to my painting but finding it difficult. | |

| Jim - if you were here you'd swear it was August. We're heading back into summer temperatures by the end of the week. Judy - I hope you have a fun (and safe) trip back to Arizona. Are you planning any fun stops along the way? Dale - I hope you recover quickly - it's no fun being laid up while the weather is nice! | |

| Callie, it is going to take me 5 days just to get to Springfield, Ohio, because I'm visiting four different people along the way. It normally takes me 5 and a half days to do the whole trip. Just pray the weather is good for the whole week across the country. I hate driving in rain and wind.

| Have a good drive - Judy - hope the weather holds. W're still having nice, clear, sunny days, but it's only really warm in the middle of the day. I've got my electric fireplace running now. | |

| Judy, have a safe and fun trip. The couple of times I've driven thru Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa in the fall I was surprised to see how beautiful their fall foliage could be. But that was a bit earlier in the year. Hope it's still their for you.
We are headed out to Yellowstone soon. Our last trip of the year before most of it closes up to car travel. We wanted to do an overnight down to Jackson and the Tetons, but with the Art League business still taking up my time, it doesn't look like it will happen. Lonesome Line still languishes.
Light dustings of snow are staying on the mountain tops now, some of our trees are still green, some at their peak of color and in the higher elevations, color has gone by. A time of change, a time of preparation (for winter), and a time to enjoy.

| Thanks Dayle,
My trip is going really well. I'm visiting on of our forum members in Springfield, Ohio. It is really neat to meet the actual person rather than just a picture. We had so much to talk about and compare how we do things and get suggestion from each other. I'm really glad I decided to take this little side trip.
The leaves were in full color throughout New York and northern PA and Ohio, but here in central Ohio, they seem to be just starting. Tomorrow I'm off to northwest Kentucky and southern Missouri.
I'll keep you posted as I can. Jim, I hope you are having a great trip also. We had frost in Buffalo, NY, last night and that was enough cold for me for the winter. I'm enjoying having the windows open for the evening here in Ohio.

| Belated Happy Canadian Thanksgiving. I'm back in the warm climate after a very relaxing trip. Glad to be off the road, though, after 9 days. Now it is time to get everything up and going again. Give me a few days and then I'll get active again. Judy | |

| Hi Just catching up. How different it is. You're talking about crossing America and here I used to drive from the South Coast all the way way up to the very tip of Scotland. Right across the UK. In one day. The thought of driving from warmth to warmth fills me with envy. Anyway our house move gets closer, just hope nothing goes wrong. Hopefully by December we'll have an old old old fishing cottage on the edge of the sea. It's very Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum. So I'm posting a photo taken just five minutes away from where we hope we'll be living. We can buy fresh fish straight from the boats. Can't paint at the moment. Too excited. Jack | |

| Hi Dale It's a place called Hastings. Where William the Conqueror landed to defeat Harold who unfortuhnately got something in his eye. Can't stop bouncing Jack | |
