Hullo. Thanks for the invite. At present I am re-organising my studio but as soon as it's sorted I'm going to have a bash at the Challenge. I normally paint figurative so the contemplative gentleman is perfect. Whilst I use W&N Artisan I feel a bit of a cheat cos' I don't really use water as a medium, instead simply use oil straight out of the tube. Hope this doesn't disentitle me.
Best wishes to all in the forum
Jack

Hi Jack! Welcome to the forum! You're welcome! Looking forward to seeing your painting in the Challenge. For all the areas in the Water Soluble Oils section the only requirement is the use of WSOs. The medium you use or if you mix with another medium such as acrylics, conventional oils etc would qualify. If you work in other mediums such as graphite etc and no WSOs are used you can share your work in the General Chat area. Glad to have you on board! Smile

Hi Jack,

Glad you joined us. Many of us do not use water, either. I prefer to use walnut oil and just save the water for cleanup. Many of us use acrylic for under painting and then WSO over it.

I'm experimenting with putting WSO over a watercolor painting that Ihad finished but want to add something to without disturbing the original. I sealed it with acrylic spray and that is working really well. You can follow it under Questions and Answers.

I look forward to seeing your work once you get your studio organized.

Judy
