This is simply lovely. I struggle to keep my colors clean and to not overwork my strokes. You definitely do not have the problem!

Excellent colour study! I really like how the light is hitting the top of the pear!

Really nice work for your first WMO. As for those others, I will be starting a monthly thread probably call "The Trash Bin" (unless someone has a better name) where we can submit works that didn't quite make it. I was involved in one prior to this, and it was hilarious. Lots of fun critiques, humor and actually some positive suggestions that salvage some of the paintings.

I look froward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks everyone I just love painting still life objects from life and really love the food subjects when I am done with the painting I can eat!!! I love food!!! LOL

I did try to post another image but the photo thing gave me a fit, will try again in a bit.

Love the idea of "the trash bin", I have a lot of them as I try to reuse canvases but I think most of the ones I still have are the acrylics, will look around.

Dawn,
When I first saw the screw driver, I thought it was a photo. Great job.

We decide to call the Trash Bin Thread "Down the Drain" instead so when you're ready, put some in. I guess you figured out the picture loading. It took me a while at first, but now it is easy. I hope the sticky with the instructions I wrote out helped.
