Yes, I like your set up, too. Looks like a french easel with a large panel on it. Wish my husband hadn't insisted on selling my french easel when I first moved in with him. It actually made sense at the time. We had both had 3-bedroom houses and had to combine into one 3-bedroom house.

I like your painting too. Hopefully, you can finish it up at home.

Thanks. Actually we went to Costco this week and found great Italian easels - basically the same thing for $50 and bought one for our daughter.

Dale: I just called our nearest Costco--they're about 1 1/2 hours away. I asked them if they had any Italian Easels in stock. They said to get the item code number and they could let me know over the phone if they had any. Would it be possible to get the item code number from you? None of the Costcos are close to our home, but there are 3 of them within a 2 hour drive. Appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

Nice set up Dale. I like the painting so far. I agree, it is impossible to do it all at one time, but on a beautiful day by the lake, it shure is fun

Good incentive to finish. I've really got to get to work on the WIP I've posted.

Dale,

I called and even stopped into our Costco....but they didn't have it, so I went on line to try and find the easel, but again couldn't find it, so I called again with the number you gave us....here in the Seattle stores that number is registered as books. I proceeded to ask about the easel and after the third call found out that they are not carrying it right now, but the last gal I talked with at Costco said she has seen it around the holiday season for the last couple of years and the only way I would find out if or when they may have those easels in again is to call, checking on line will not find it as it is a seasonal product, she suggested calling about every two weeks and said they usually go fast.

Thank you again for the info -- I didn't realize they even carried artist easels.

I will keep my eyes out for them.

I just ordered a french easel from Jerrysartisan's. There was a good selection and the prices were all under $100. I checked other providers and found that everyone had all of them drastically reduced. I left the one I made back east rather than dragging it out here. Hopefully, I'll find this one very flexible and compact for traveling.

I'm expecting delivery tomorrow from UPS so I'll keep you posted on what I think about his particular brand.

Sounds like fun, Judy! I guess now is a good time to look for one at Costco, too. I plan to make a lot more time for painting, once I can carry things around again. Congratulations!

It came. Now I have to use it. I am doing a small church fair this Saturday indoors. I was thinking I might set up there and do a small painting during the time.

I did a 6 x 8 painting at the show, plein air, but the show was inside and the space a little too limited for the easel. I'll post the painting in the December challenge since it is open to all projects right now.
