| Hi I just started using the WSO recently after reading a book called Brushwork Essentials. I have been painting in acrylics for years and decided to dig out my WSO and give them another try. This time I am very pleased with them. I have gotten a better understanding of them since reading that book. I will be using them more now and have even purchased more colors. I like the Holbein Duo brand. You can view my paintings at www.paintingsilove.com/artist/sharoncoyle | |

| Welcome to the forum, Sharon! Looks like you've got a good handle on the ws oils! Love your pet portraits. Be sure to check out the Water Mixable Mix-Up section - You can post your acrylic works over there and offer any tips or advice you want to about painting with acrylics. Of course, share your ws oil paintings too! | |

| Welcome Sharon, You are using to of my most recent favorites, Golden Open Acrylics and Holbein Duo. I've only just started using them and can't wait to use u p all my other brands so I can buy more. Because I only have a limited number of colors in each, I have found that I can use both of them together either mixing them or using them separately. I do have to keep the fat over lean rule in effect when doing this, however. If you would like to see an overview of what is available in the forum and how it is organized, you can see a copy our first newsletter from January which talks about each section. Here's the link. https://watersolubleoils.forumotion.com/general-chat-f4/forum-news-and-announcements-t140.htmI looked at your web site and really like Daisy. Welcome again. Judy | |

| Hi Sharon, I love your still-life paintings. I have Essential Brushworks too. Great book except that I forget to follow the rules. I am still too cheap with my paint. I have to get over that. Enjoy meeting everyone here! Dale | |
