I'm trying out the image up-loading - I think I got it Very Happy! This was done from life (2.5 hours), 10 x 14 inches on canvas panel:

I usually start with a drawing and build up layers of paint/glazes, so this (painting alla prima) was a fun change - like plein air painting - no time to fuss with it, just get it done!

Wow Callie! I love it! The form is wonderful! Great brushwork! I love the way you handled the reflections of the apple on the blue glass. Smile

Great job for alla prima! That apple in the foreground is particularly well done. These quick studies do a lot for your progress as an artist. A lot of my plein air paintings turn out less than perfect, but they have accelerated my learning curve tremendously.

Callie,
The fruit look good enough to eat. Beautiful.
