| Based on the discusstion regarding oil books I thought it might be fun and educational to study one of the great masters of painting and his techniques. Scouring the web for examples of his techniques. Videos or step by steps I find would be educational and fun. Anything Vermeer goes.
Here's one that I found that is a site all about Vermeer: http://www.essentialvermeer.com/details/details_start.html
I found this page especially interesting because of the following facts:
- Vermeer even used the tip of the brush's handle in his painting - Vermeer used the camera obscura - in some of his later paintings Vermeer used green earth in the shadows of the flesh tones

| I watched the Vermeer lecture video. Very interesting. The essential Vermeer site is like an expanded version of the book I have, that's a great site. | |
