I was telling Faisal how rural we are and thought he might like to see some pics of it. See next post.

We can see one house sort of north and east of us (barely, when the leaves fall), otherwise we're very rural as you can see. There are houses around, just not real close nor visible. The closest town is about 5 miles away and consists of a post office, Dollar General, convenience store, gas station and garage, a small diner, and a couple of sort of home-type businesses. For anything more, we have to drive about 12 miles. The closest Hobby Lobby is about 15 miles, closest Michaels is about 30 miles and Jerrys Artarama is about 50 miles from us.

Hi Jan,

How lovely and beautiful. There is something to be said about country living. Wow! and the possibilities of landscape painting are endless… Thank you very much for sharing Jan Smile.

Your Friend.

Oh! we are all in the same boat Jan. One step at a time. A persian proverb: Drop by drop you get a river... (or something like that... Smile )

There is never a better time than now to start. Your front porch shot with the rolls of hay has perfect elements for a successful landscape.

I do have to start sometime as many of the wildlife shows require an animal in it's natural habitat. It just doesn't feel like the time yet!
