Hi, I'm Sue from the Surrey/Hampshire borders, UK.

I've been painting in watercolours for a few years, and recently tried acrylics which I didn't like much because they dried so quickly. So I decided to try water mixable oils, and have just bought a basic set of 6 colours to give it a go.

I'm hoping to pick up lots of hints and tips from this forum.

Hi Sue and WELCOME!

There's a wealth of information here and people who are willing to help you by answering any questions you might have.

I was in the situation you were in as I tried acrylics and really hated them but I love the WSOs as they're so blendable and versatile with no toxic solvents. I don't know what brand or colors you bought but you'll probably be able to mix just about any colors you need with what you have if you have the primary colors plus white.

Can't wait to see your paintings and if you have any watercolors you want to show, you can post them also in the watercolor section.

Again, welcome.

Welcome to the forum, Sue. I hope you enjoy experimenting with WSO's and find them more satisfying than the acrylics. Be sure to browse the different forums to find tips an d experiences other have had with them.

Feel free to ask as many questions as you want and also don't hesitate to contribute to any discussion that interests you.

Judy
