| When I first started traveling with my kitten, Mozart, six years ago, he decided the only place he wanted to sleep while the RV was moving was between the driver's seat and a cabinet. Six years later and now 16 pounds, he still insists on wedging himself in there.
Here is a painting of him in that spot. It looks almost like he is saying, "You know, you could move the cabinet to give me more room.."

| Thanks Crystal. My instructor thought the left wall was too strong, pulling the focus away from the cat so I re-did it by softening the outer edge.. I also made a few revisions on the cat. | |

| I like the softer version. Nice treatment of the front legs (paws etc) too! | |

| Thank you Alan and Faisal. I agree the softer one does look better. The woman that teaches these classes at Digital Art Academy always seems to have some very useful and correct suggestions. | |

| So cute and you really do need to move that cabinet!!! I agree that the second version works best. | |

| I've put that RV up for sale and am in the middle of converting a new van with a place specifically for the cat behind the seat with lots of room and security. That's a composting toilet that will be walled in just behind the cats place. Â | |

| That's what we need to travel with our little Maltese! I'll bet Mozart will be much happier with a bit of space instead of being squished like he was before. This is a really cool van - let us know how you like it and most of all, how Mozart likes it! | |

| Judy, This can be your new Plein Art Studio. I see ample space in the back. Faisal | |

| That is exactly one of my plans for it. It it 5'6" high inside and I'm only 5'3" so I can stand up in it and there will be enough room even after the structures are built to use my easel. I'm also making a drop leaf table by the door so I can set up my computer and Wacom tablet so I can paint digitally if I want.. It will be especially valuable when painting in the desert. I'll have facilities and I won't have to keep an eye out for snakes and other critters while painting. | |

| That's going to be amazing, Judy - I want one too!
Do you drive all the way to NY by yourself (& Mozart of course)?
I used to criss-cross the country all the time but have gotten to the point where I almost hate to travel. Having something like your van would make it a lot easier. May I ask what the model of yours is? You're going to have the perfect set up when it's all finished!

| Mozart is my constant travel companion. I go to New York yearly, but some years I also go to Florida and South Carolina to visit sisters. I just hope that Mozart appreciates the new setup for him.
This is the Dodge Promaster Van with the standard height roof. It is 5'6" inside which is perfect for me since I'm under 5'4'. They do have a higher roof that is 6'6" inside. I got the 136" wheel base that gives me a 10 foot ling bed inside. I'm going to be writing an article on it's progress on Hubpages once I get more done on it.

| WOW! That van it really going to be great. I would love to have something like that myself, but I don't think DH would like the idea. He has no interest in painting, although he's supportive to me. So happy for you! | |

| Thanks Crystal. Just take him along for the ride. Lots of places to see and explore and still have the luxury of having facilities when you need them. I can't wait until it is done. | |
