Another day, another painting. This one is not the usual 6x8 or 5x7. I did this on a an 8x10 panel (Brave me). Please see below for the painting.

All comments and feedback are welcome.

Thanks.

I viewed this first on my laptop and thought the pear looked very colorless and washed out compared to the grapes. Now I'm on the desktop computer with the nicer monitor and the pear looks much better. It's this sort of thing that makes me hesitant to comment sometimes!

I do think I'd like to see a bit more contrast or something in the pear though.

So glad you're painting - I'm trying to get back into it!

Thanks Jan, I think the picture did not come out too well. I will try to retake the picture and try to make it look more like what it actually is.

Jan, The first picture did not come out too well and to fix it I adjusted the saturation etc but it compromised other stuff. I think this looks close to the painting. If there are any shortcomings in this please do tell, I want to hear what you have to say. Thanks.

I see issues with this. It is amazing how much a little break helps to see things with clarity. I will see if I can fix this and repost. Otherwise, it will just be another one of those wasted efforts… Smile

Please don't scrap it as it really does have real potential. The new photo looks good.
