|  This is a half hour oil sketch, on canvas paper. I started with pencil on the already painted background. I used Titanium white (Artisan) and Burnt Umber. | |

|  This one was actually painted first; a 20 minute oil sketch. As usual, heads and their proportions challenge me; the model was fun to work with; she knew challenging poses (for gesture sketches) and brought a sword as a prop! | |
